Safe Party Checklist
Every year about this time there is are opportunities for
celebrating in large groups for weddings, graduations and other joyous
events. The majority of these
events end up being successful and fun celebrations. However, there are always a few gatherings that are cause
for concern in the neighborhood or are brought to the attention of the Police
Department.
To assist you in planning your next gathering we have prepared a Safe Party Checklist to help you avoid some of the risks associated with larger
parties. Please take advantage of
these tips and don’t hesitate to give the Department a call if you have any
questions.
By following the advice presented in the checklist, you can
minimize the risks for you and your guests. The two most common complaints we receive concerning parties
involve parking and noise. Please
make sure your guests park legally and are courteous to your neighbors. Even with advanced notice, for the
safety of the entire community, the Police Department cannot turn a blind eye
to illegal parking. The City’s
noise regulations specify that noise producing devices (including Live Bands
and Stereo Equipment) cannot be audible beyond the border of your property
between the hours of 11:00 pm and 7:00 am.
By sharing this information we hope to help make
your next larger gathering a successful, enjoyable and safe time for you and
all your guests.
